The community demanded justice for her disappearance and murder, which occurred along with her husband in clandestine graves in Veracruz. Her bravery and commitment to defending women's rights were highlighted.

One of her sisters expressed in front of the coffin: 'And of course we will not forget you; you were a brave woman who helped and stood in solidarity with everyone. As far as I remember, I rarely saw you bowed down, always brave, and that is how I will remember you; now you rest in peace.'

Yesica Sánchez, representative of the Consorcio Oaxaca collective, accompanied Sandra's family and emphasized the importance of dignifying the voice of the murdered activist. It was mentioned that Sandra never remained silent in the face of the violence she witnessed and denounced those responsible, fighting against the objectification of women.

A call was made to the governor and authorities to stop revictimizing Sandra, focusing on clarifying the facts and bringing the culprits to justice. Several testimonies highlighted Sandra's bravery and tireless fight for Mixe women, being an example of resistance and empowerment.

Federal Deputy Aracely Cruz praised Sandra's work, recognizing that she spoke for all women who have been subject to violence and discrimination. Her legacy was emphasized, and the need to keep her memory alive and continue her fight for justice and equality was underscored.
